Mercedes-Benz S-Class spy shots
Feast your eyes on this folks: here is the new 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class in the metal, as photographed in Genting Highlands recently – thanks Faisal, for the Facebook message.
We first saw the new 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class in Malaysia when it was being hauled by a trailer, which had on it the new Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid. Here, however, sits the new S500 variant of the W222 Mercedes-Benz S-Class range.
The S500 packs a 4.7-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine which outputs a substantial 449hp, and 700Nm of torque. Transmission wise, a 7G-Tronic Plus seven-speed auto is tasked to burst the S500 to 100km/h in 4.8 seconds, while top speed is an electronically-governed 250km/h.
As with our story yesterday, we’re guestimating that Mercedes-Benz Malaysia could launch its new S-Class sometime before the middle of the year. But in which variants?
We’ve seen the S400 Hybrid, and now, the S500 is popping around town; and in this instance, at Genting Highlands: a hot-spot for photographers, we imagine Mercedes-Benz Malaysia wouldn’t freely flaunt its yet-to-be-launched vehicles about.
So could this be a grey car instead? In any case… isn’t it just absolutely pretty?
